Dale L. Ernst, 77, of Norman died in his home Wednesday, July 19, 2006. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Guardian Norman Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Guardian Norman Funeral Home.
Mr. Ernst was born Feb. 21, 1929, to Theodore and Lela Lewis Ernst. He was a teacher, coach and administrator for the Norman Public School system for 30 years, retiring in 1987.
He was preceded in death by Carolyn, his wife of 39 years; and his only son, Dale E. Ernst.
Survivors include his daughters Cara J. Day and Janice Wilcoxson; grandchildren Stephanie Wilcoxson and Kenneth A. Day; and great-grandchildren Taylor A. Day and Alexander S. Day.
